Final Report

The California Mortgage Relief Program provided financial assistance to homeowners struggling to make mortgage payments due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Funded by the federal government, the program aimed to prevent foreclosure for eligible homeowners. It offered grants to cover missed mortgage payments, property taxes, and partial claim/loan deferrals and reverse mortgages.

The initiative targeted low- to moderate-income households, ensuring they could stay in their homes while recovering from financial setbacks caused by the pandemic. The assistance was provided as a grant, with no repayment required, easing the financial burden on affected homeowners.

Program for Homeowners
